Oil and gas…the mother of invention?  Demand from oil and gas operators is likely to be the main driver in the development of any new commercial helicopter model from Sikorsky. Around two-thirds of the company’s S-92s are in service with oil and gas operators, and demand from the industry has driven the development of new, larger, twin-engine helicopters.

35 Years Later, Alaska Pipeline Bomber Caught, but Cannot Be Charged with the Bombing

The Statute of Limitations has long since run on the 1978 bombing, leaving federal prosecutors stuck with charging him with making false statements.  More here: ABC NEWS.

Phillip Martin Olson was charged with three counts of making a false report. He also was charged with having 26 marijuana plants at his home.  A conviction for making false statements could result in a prison sentence of up to five years and a fine of up to $350,000, according to federal prosecutors. Magistrate Judge Scott Oravec released him from custody pending trial, so Olson continues to suffer no consequence from his crime.
